On this Easter day, one of the most holy days in the Christian calendar, Bob tells the story of the risen Christ; with the help of a few other members of the leadership and congregation.
1 Corinthians 15 – The Resurrection of Christ
Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas,[b] and then to the Twelve. 6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8 and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.
March 20th, 2016 – In this sermon, Bob Kolodner takes us on an awesome, wonderful, terrible journey with our savior Christ Jesus. With Palm Sunday upon us we turn our thoughts to the meaning of Easter. The scripture Bob shares with us is perfect for our preparations to celebrate the resurrection. He brilliantly organizes the scripture into chronological order. Thus we are able to not just understand the story, but feel and, almost live the story.
Watch this video and be taken on a perplexing journey that starts with Jesus’ glorious arrival in Jerusalem, and ends with His tragic and unjust demise on a Roman cross. How could this happen to the Son of God, and who was responsible? Was it Pontius Pilate, was it Judas? Was it the crowds that were just so fickle, or was it the high priests that poisoned the minds of the crowds?

In this sermon, Bob Kolodner examines the details surrounding the miraculous signs that Jesus performed and how some people missed the point. When He gives sight to the blind, cures leprosy, calms epilepsy and fixes paralysis, what’s really going on here? What does all this prove?

Yes folks it’s here again – daylight savings start at 2:00 am this Sunday March 13th, and ends at 2:00 am Sunday November 6th. So don’t forget to change your clocks one hour forward on Saturday night: if you do forget, you might be late for Church.
In this sermon, Bob talks about the two events that launched Jesus’ ministry. The hour glass has been turned, yet His time has not yet come. Unfortunately there’s no video of this week’s sermon. However you can still download and read Bob’s sermon notes using the large, green, Recent Sermon Notes download button to the right of this article.
This week also featured a brief double-act when Chris Abernethy joins Bob on stage, working together when the sermon reaches the part where Jesus reads from the scroll of the prophet Isaiah.

But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children— with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.
