In this week’s sermon on this 4th Sunday of Advent, Bob Kolodner talks about the extremely dangerous and long travels of the Magi from far away lands (probably Persia) to give praise and to worship the infant Jesus. In the photo above, Bob shows the congregation a marvelous example of an Advent calendar. He then asks how far are we willing to travel for Christ, the messiah. Working from the gospel according to Matthew, Bob talks in detail about the wise men, their travels and their visit with King Herod, disturbed by the rumors of the birth of a new Jewish King.
