Youth and Family Minister
The Warrenton church of Christ in Warrenton, located in the beautiful hills of Northern Virginia, is searching for a Youth and Family Minister to work with the diverse needs of the church. We desire for our church family to grow spiritually through interaction with Christ and his teachings by building interpersonal relationships and reaching out to the lost. We are a church of approximately 150 members served by 6 Shepherds and a Senior Minister.  Our church is made up of families with diverse needs based on where they are in life.
Job Description
The role of the Youth and Family Minister is to provide overall leadership, development and management of an effective Christ -centered youth and family ministry of the Warrenton Church of Christ. We’re looking for a man who is self-motivated, energetic, and enjoys working with families during their various stages of development. We’re looking for someone with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably from a church of Christ affiliated university, who has experience in the areas of youth and family ministry. Our Youth and Family Minister must be able to adapt as the needs of our congregation change. When deacons are appointed, the youth deacon will work closely with the candidate.

Goals:
• To plant seeds of God’s Word into the hearts of youth and families.
• To cultivate and refresh them in their growth and understanding, until they are ready for the Holy Spirit to bring them to the point of conversion, baptism, and a life-long habit of serving God.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Youth and Family Minister will direct and enhance the youth and family ministry through Wednesday and Sunday evening youth group times, Sunday school, retreats, service projects, VBS, small groups, and other Spirit-led activities. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the planning and coordination of youth and family ministry mission opportunities as they arise. He will, in coordination with the eldership and Senior Minister, develop a broader scope of the current youth and family ministry.
The Youth and Family Minister will also work with the youth committee to develop the budget for the youth ministry, and implement the approved budget for the fiscal year. He will work with the education ministry leader to define the bible classes and identify teachers for each quarter, as well as teach a youth class and direct youth devotionals on a regular basis.
The Youth and Family Minister will work closely with the families of the congregation, meeting with individual families to identify the needs of young parents, and partner with them in their spiritual journey.
The Youth and Family Minister will work with the youth and families of the community to promote Christian values and evangelistic opportunities. He will report to the Elders as requested, be available to preach from time to time, and participate in the other activities of the church. Prospective candidates should be familiar with forms of social networking and other electronic communication to include the church's website.
