Congregational Singing Evening – Sunday September 18th

DSC_0249 (1)For anyone who may not have heard the news, Chris Abernethy has organized a congregational singing night for Sunday, September 18th.  It’s happening at the Church building starting at 6 pm and of course, all are welcome.

So bring your voices to the Church on Sunday to lift up our lord in praise with the following songs.

We have included streaming links to the A Cappella Workshop Praise and Harmony training recordings that exist for these selected songs.

So if you would like to work on your parts for the songs, you can do so with these recordings.  Soprano and Tenor part are on the left Stereo channel, and Alto and Bass parts are on the Right channel; so you can move your balance control to better hear the part you wish to study.

VBS Rocks

WeWCOC 2016 011 (1)ll VBS certainly does rock, but what you’re seeing here is rocks of a different kind.  You may have heard that this year’s theme for Vacation Bible School is ‘David, a man after God’s own heart’.  And when we think of David, it’s hard not to think of Goliath and his fall at the hands of this remarkable young man.

This week the Ladies Ministry got together and made very creative use of some leftover paint and paper bags in order to create some rather excellent looking rocks.  It’s all part of the VBS preparations and as you can see, fun is already being had by everyone; and VBS is still over a month away.  This is just one of many things the ladies are doing to make this years VBS a resounding success.  Contact Carolyn Martin to find our how you can help; and of course don’t forget; you can click on the VBS banner on this web site’s home page to sign up for this years VBS.  We’ll see you there.

Church Web Site Awareness Week

What is Church Web Site Awareness Week

Coming up next week is “Church Web Site Awareness Week; or to put it another way; “Make mywcoc.org your Home Page for a week (or more if you want to).  See the additional article for details on how to make the church web site your homepage on four of the major web browsers.

Yes folks the new church web site is up, running and fully functional. And in more ways than one is more than a cosmetic upgrade.  This new site offers a more dynamic and interactive service for the entire church family, local community and all to help us lift up the glory of God.
